Hello Business Traveler to Brazil:

Statistics of this Consulate-General in New York show an increase of 24% in business visas in 2007 when compared to 2006.

Many of you, in planning your business trip to Brazil, managed to include a few vacation days to relax, know more about Brazilian people and culture - and thus increase business.

Some have been calling our office requesting lists of trade shows, receptive travel agencies that provide bilingual guide, car and driver, restaurant recommendation as well as things to do and places to visit.

Nearly every major city in Brazil has a website and the Federation of Brazilian Convention & Visitors Bureaux (FBC&VB) links them for you and answers most of your questions.

A good source of trade shows all over Brazil is the Brazilian Union of Trade Shows Organizers (UBRAFE)

For bi-lingual guides, car and driver, one can visit the site of a Brazilian Incoming Operators Association (BITO) or request the guidance of one's hotel concierge. If you prefer to work with an agent in the New York area, visit the travel specialists listed in the site of the Brazilian Tourism Office in the U.S.

If this is your first business trip to Brazil, please review the Practical Information page in this site and how to obtain a business entry visa.

For potencial business partners in Brazil, please check Brazil4export, BrazilTradeNet, Brazilian exporters, Brazilian Industrial Directory, the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce in New York or contact us at

Sincerely,
The Brazilian Trade Bureau Team
